The business idea of Dekotel Coating is to transfer any visual image, pattern, color or shade to any material giving an end result with high wearing qualities and required technical features. Our know-how is based on mastering decorative coatings on different materials and on the know-how from the graphic industry. In addition to decorative coating services, the company has its own design department that is focused in designing visual outlooks, color-handling and also to make concrete samples of different material/design options.

Extensive product development has led to several applications, which our customers can utilize in creating innovative solutions for their products or projects. By using decorative services, the benefits in project handling can be material weight saving, minimizing the usage of flammable materials, possibility to use more ecological and recyclable materials but also a possibility to use more easier installable materials. In addition to visual outlook, the company has combined also a possibility for different technical features to its decorative services. Of this as example the benefits of anti-bacterial and anti-graffiti that gives a longer usage time for different interior materials.

The biggest segments that our company is co-operating with are: Ship-industry (new building, conversions, refurbishments), land-based public spaces and product industry. The main co-operation contacts are; Ship yards, ship owners, turn-key suppliers, installation companies, architects, interior designers, product designers/developers and - manufacturers.

Our goal is to be a worldwide-known modern decorative coating service supplier for different segments that has its strong points in designing, in providing the most effective and dashing decorative coating services, in proving and developing new technical features in addition to visual coating services, in consulting for interior projects but also in being a known problem-solver and co-operation partner in challenging decorative interior projects.

Dekotel Coatings was formed in 2004. The founding shareholders, Mr. Tero Kulmalainen and Ms. Milla Karvanen had earlier been working with decorative coating of shells to mobile phones. In 2004 the goal of the activity became the development of different coating techniques to enable solutions with high wearing qualities on bigger surfaces and different materials. The scope of the company grew, the goals changed and focusing on new business ideas started.

Soon the company managed to realize several different interior design and construction projects among others in the cruise ship industry and it also manifested its position as a trustworthy supplier of decorative coatings solution for industrial products.

In 2007 the company launched for Scandinavian area its first consumer product that was a backsplash for kitchens made of aluminum.

In 2007 a Board of directors with outside professional members was formed.

Continuous product development, which enables a comprehensive and professional service, a professional staff, an impressive backing and a clear business strategy have created a base for the development of the company in the coming years.
